Yesterday was a simple day. We had our weekly meeting and hosted an event. The meeting only lasted 15 minutes. We discussed the games for the week, the special events taking place, and the roles of each person involved. Only a few people attended the meeting because Butler was having something called “Pick a Seat.” Pick a Seat is an event that takes place over a couple of days in which season ticket holders come in a select their seats for Butler basketball. Men’s basketball at Butler is the fan favorite so the event is a big deal. Waves of people were coming in and out of Hinkle Fieldhouse all day. I’m sure they will continue to pour in for days to come. The events taking place this week take place on Tuesday, 9/20/16 @ 7 PM (men’s soccer Butler Bulldogs vs Evansville Purple Aces) and Saturday, 9/24/16 @ 7:05 PM (men’s soccer Butler Bulldogs vs Providence Friars). The men’s soccer team is ranked #10 in the NCAA national rankings with a record of 5-0-1. The Dawgs acted like they were the number 10 team in the nation by dominating the match all night long. The Purple Aces did leave with some dignity. The final score was Butler: 3 and Evansville: 1. It was a great night for soccer. There were hundreds of soccer kids that came out for the match. Before the game and during halftime they set up 20 mini soccer goals so the kids could play around. It was quite a site to see all of those kids playing. Well until then, be blessed. GO DAWGS!!!
