Last night I completed my 200 required internship/mentorship hours. However, I will finish out the remainder of the week. I have three events that I’m scheduled to work and I intend to keep my word. Butler has been good to me so I won’t back out on them now. Well, moving on. Last night the Butler men’s basketball team faced the Norfolk State Spartans. I was the host for the officials. Hosting the officials means I escort them to and from the locker room and get them anything they need. Butler even gives them food after the game. That’s one way of keeping the refs on your side. Good job.
The game between the Bulldogs and Spartans was a blow out. It was projected to be a 25 point spread. However, Butler beat them by more than that. The final score was Butler: 91 – Norfolk State: 55. Leading scorers for Butler were #51 Nate Fowler (17 points) and #0 Avery Woodson (15 points). However, it was a team effort to get such a convincing win. It was a 36 point victory. That’s good as they head to the Continental Tires Las Vegas Invitational. I have family in Vegas. I wish I could go. I have a women’s basketball game tonight so stay tuned. GO DAWGS!!!
